Source: cyprusevents.net The Cyprus Chamber Orchestra (CCO), following its recent establishment and having been awarded with the prestigious "Stelios Cyprus Bicommunal Award 2016", is proud to announce its first concert, taking place at Pallas Theatre in Nicosia on the 29th of December, at 19:30. The concert will perfectly complement the festive spirit of the season with classical music masterpieces from W.A. Mozart Symphony, No 29, and J.S. Bach Concerto for violin and oboe, where the artistic directors and founders of the Orchestra, Natalie Neophytou and Nihat Agdac, will appear as soloists. Co-chairs of the bi-communal technical committee of culture, Mrs. Androulla Vassiliou and Mr. Kani Kanol, will be honoring the event with their presence and addressing the audience with an opening speech. Cyprus Chamber Orchestra is a non-profit organization bringing together around 20 Turkish and Greek Cypriot musicians to produce music of the highest level and perform around the island and abroad, promoting peace in Cyprus through the power of the music. The orchestra has no conductor, which allows the musicians working as close as possible to each other for the sake of the ensemble, music and their partnership. Natalie and Nihat developed this idea in London, where they were studying at the prestigious music institutes Royal Academy of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Tickets to the concert are available at the ticket offices of Pallas Theatre. For bookings call the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra at 97804219 and 05338603715 or Pallas Theatre at 22410181.
